CJP’s online petition to CJI: Hold Kapil Mishra accountable for instigating the Delhi violence Sign our petition urging CJI Bobde to prosecute the serial hate offender

26, Feb 2020 | CJP Team

In the wake of the gruesome Delhi violence, Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) has initiated an Online Petition appealing to the Chief Justice of India, SA Bobde, to hold Kapil Mishra – said to be the chief instigator – accountable for instigating violence using hate speech and prosecute him.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra is a serial hate speech offender and has time and again called for violence against minorities, with each threat becoming more blatant by the day. It is imperative that he be held accountable for his words and actions and prosecuted under the relevant sections of the law.

We now demand that Kapil Mishra be held accountable for his words and actions. We demand his arrest for instigating interfaith violence in North East Delhi. We also demand that he be prosecuted under relevant sections of the law. Sign our petition NOW!

Anti-minority violence has been taking place in the North East of Delhi since February 23, 2020. On February 23, Mishra led a pro-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) rally close to the site of the anti-CAA protest near the Jafrabad metro station. At the protest site, standing next to a uniformed police officer he said, “We will remain peaceful till Trump leaves. After that we will not listen to you.”

CJP appeals to the citizens of India to support this Online Initiative for Accountability in Public Life and sign up against the politics of hatred and violence.
