O R D E R
We have perused the report dated 29.05.2013 filed by Dr. R.K. Raghavan, Chairman, Special Investigation Team (SIT), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, wherein he prayed for extension of service of Dr. K. Venkatesham, IPS, Member with SIT for a further period of six months, i.e. up to 14.01.2014, on existing terms.
On going through his report and of the fact that out of nine cases assigned to SIT by this Court, Judgments have already been pronounced in six cases and trial in the remaining three cases is nearing completion, we direct that, the attachment of Dr. K. Venkatesham with SIT shall continue for a further period of six months,i.e., up to 14.01.2014, on existing terms.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi as well as the Government of Maharashtra are directed to issue appropriate notification forthwith.
