Cyrus J. Guzder began his career in 1967 with ICICI, before moving to AFL Private Limited, then known as Airfreight Limited, in 1969. Since 1985, he has been the organisation’s Chairman and Managing Director. For 25 years till 2001, he also headed the DHL Worldwide Express operations in India, then a 100% owned business division of AFL Private Limited. In addition, he has been a Director on the Boards of several other companies including Air India, Tata Infomedia, Tata Honeywell and Alfa Laval. He was a member of the Indian Advisory Board, Barclays Bank plc, India from 1993 – 97. He was also Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)’s National Committee on Transportation and Logistics.
